No. One character, one film, one game or one book is enough. You do not need a licensing department, an agent or a warehouse. Matching is free, and the first thing you pay is €300 when a project or a licence starts. The monthly begins at €30 and carries the whole core product.

No. A directory lets you search names. We match a project with production capability, carry the licence terms and settle the money.

We are built to sit alongside it. Those systems manage licences that already exist, and they are good at it. What they do not do is find you a partner or get the product made. We start before there is a deal and end at a product somebody can buy.

More than 850 producers are registered across 39 countries. Availability also depends on category, rights and producer capacity, so the country list is a starting point rather than a guarantee for your product.

No. A concept, a reference or a commercial goal is enough. A designer can join when product development is needed.

Small enough to be wrong. There is no platform minimum. North tested seven product types at 220 units in total. Each producer and each method has its own practical minimum, and the goal is the smallest run that answers your question.

Yes, where the product is ready and the network has the capability. Some producers specialise in small runs, others in volume.

It depends on design readiness, materials, approvals, quantity and producer availability. Our fastest so far is 12 days, order to delivery.

The parties agree the specification, the quality bar and the acceptance criteria before production begins. We are not the manufacturer and do not warrant the goods. The producer is responsible for delivering what was agreed, and payout is released on confirmed delivery.

Matching is free: publishing a project or a licensing offer and getting matched costs €0. €300 when a project or a licence starts, then from €30 a month following what you sell, and 10% of a transaction. Yes, for everyone. Producers pay nothing until they are paid: joining, a profile, matching, applying for work, verification and payout enablement are free at any size, and there is no producer subscription at any level. IP owners and licence holders match for free and pay €300 when a project or a licence starts. Retailers who only buy finished licensed product pay us no platform fee.

It comes off the transaction as the money moves. On production work that is the producer’s invoice: they bill €1,000 and receive €900. On a licensed sale the licensee carries it. Where an IP owner or a brand commissions and buys the products outright rather than licensing, they carry it. Taken once, and never from the royalty.

The full net transaction settled through SomebodyMakeIt, before anything is taken out. It excludes VAT, refunds, returns, cancellations, separately stated shipping and card processing. On a €50 net sale with a 12% royalty, €6 goes to the IP owner and our fee is 10% of the full €50, so €5.00. Our ten percent never touches the royalty: both are worked out on the same number, so the IP owner’s share is never smaller because of us.

No. The IP owner sets the rate and keeps all of it. Our fee comes off the transaction, a different number entirely.

No. One transaction creates one fee, taken once. Several people on the same product line are not charged separately, and holding two roles never creates two bills.

It follows what you settle through us, not what you add. €30 a month under €30,000 in a year, €300 to €300,000, €3,000 to a million. Then it comes back down: half above a million, a quarter above five. Every level carries unlimited properties, product lines, markets and partners.

Card processing sits outside our ten percent and is passed through at cost by our payment provider. It appears as its own line and is never folded into our fee or taken from the royalty.

No. Payments are processed by a regulated third party provider, not by us. We are not a bank and do not provide payment services. Settlement timing depends on that provider and on the terms agreed in the project.

Only when the quotation says so. Product price, delivery, taxes, duties and certification are shown separately wherever they vary by market or route.

Independent designers, producers, registered workshops, specialist suppliers and manufacturers. Profiles should show real capabilities and evidence.

Joining is free and stays free, at any size: profile, matching, verification, payout enablement and applying to any work. There is no producer subscription at any level. When a job is settled through us we take 10% of what you invoice, so you pay nothing until you are paid. Taking a licence of your own is a choice, not a toll.

Never. Match position comes from project fit and evidence. Position on a shortlist cannot be bought, at any price, by anyone.

Company and tax checks complete and payout enabled. It is a check on who they are and whether we can pay them, not a warranty of their work. Most of the network is registered rather than verified, and we show which is which.

No. A narrow, well evidenced capability is often a better match than a company claiming to do everything.

Yes. A project can carry a designer, a fabricator, an electronics specialist and an assembly partner, each seeing only their own part.

Yes, where the parties agree it. The royalty base, rate, duration, territory and reporting should be clear before the design is used.

On a schedule agreed before the project starts. Timing may depend on milestones, delivery, acceptance and the payment methods available in the producer’s country.

It depends on what existed before the project and what the parties create. The project terms state ownership, permitted use, confidentiality and any licence before work begins.

The rights holder confirms and warrants that they hold the rights they are offering, and that sits in the terms they accept. We cannot adjudicate ownership of intellectual property and do not claim to. Only under a valid agreement from the rights holder, and only within the approved product, territory, quantity, channel and time period.

No. The agreements belong to the parties on the product line, and we are the platform underneath rather than a party inside that legal relationship. We provide the structure, the record and the settlement, and we are a party to our own terms with each of you. We are not the buyer, the seller, the manufacturer or the licensor.

No, and we will not claim it does. Making a product in the market where it sells removes the import duty on the finished goods. Materials may still be imported and carry duty, country of origin is a determination for customs rather than a description of where assembly happened, and compliance, certification, product safety and local tax obligations still apply.

That is not something a platform can answer for you, and we would be wrong to say yes. What we provide is a structure designed to make the obligations visible: the specification, the approvals, the licence terms and the record of what was agreed. Product safety, labelling, certification and consumer law obligations rest with the parties placing the product on the market, and are worth checking with an adviser for your category and country.

The project holds the agreed scope, timing and acceptance criteria, and payout is released on confirmed delivery, so there is a record to work from. Disputes are between the parties on the product line, and our terms set out how we support that process. We are not an insurer and we do not stand behind performance by either side.
